Sandra Chatterjee
Sandra Chatterjee is an independent choreographer from Munich working in the genre of contemporary dance with a basis in Indian dance. Her studies took her from Munich to India, Honolulu (BA Dance Ethnology, Uni. of Hawaii at Manoa) and Los Angeles (MA in Dance, PhD in Culture and Performance, UCLA). Her choreography and teaching are informed by her training in classical Indian dance (Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam), Polynesian dance, (post)modern dance, and Yoga. She is a founding member of the Post Natyam Collec-tive, a network of independent choreographers and scholars who critically engage with South Asian aesthetics and work in the genres interdisciplinary performance, video and scholarship.
